About Gina
Texas Pet Company is owned and operated by former student-athlete, Gina Perez '97. Gina earned her Bachelor degree in Business Administration focusing on Business Analysis. Gina was born and raised in San Antonio, and a proud graduate of Thomas Jefferson High School.
In 1998, after completing a 3-year pro-softball career in Florida playing for the Tampa Bay Firestix, Gina started her corporate career at Baseball Express (Now Team Express) in San Antonio in what would be a 17-year commitment to a successful and growing company leading the E-commerce Department.
In 2016, Gina transitioned her talents to CPG brand, Ricos Products, for another 4 years in the digital space until finally launching her own company and brand, Texas Pet Company.
In March of 2020, 3 weeks before the COVID-19 pandemic shut the country down for safety, Gina resigned from her position at Ricos Products and began working full-time on a lifelong dream of owning and running her own company.
As of 2024, Texas Pet Company has grown into a successful business, with products available on Amazon, Walmart, Chewy and boutique shops around the country.

Texas A&M Softball '93-97
Texas A&M Softball 4-Year Letterman.
Gina earned a spot on the squad during walk-on tryouts and subsequently earned an athletic scholarship. Gina earned BIG XII all-conference honors in 1996 & 1997, and is listed as the #2 all-time games played in an A&M uniform.
Gina was drafted in 1997 to play the the Women's Professional Fastpitch league, playing 3 years for the Tampa Bay Firestix, and winning the league championship in 1999.

Lettermen's Association
Gina had been an active member of the Texas A&M Lettermen's Association since graduating from Texas A&M, participating in the Hall of Fame selection committee and reunion events.
Contributions were made to help in the construction of the Texas A&M Lettermen's Lounge at Kyle Field during the redevelopment, as well as the development of the new Davis Diamond Softball Field, home of the Lady Aggie Softball Program.

San Antonio A&M Club
Gina is a member if the San Antonio A&M Club at Aggie Park in San Antonio.
The San Antonio A&M Club & Foundation exists to promote fellowship among former students, current students, and friends of Texas A&M, to spread the Aggie Spirit across the Greater San Antonio Area, and to provide scholarships to Bexar County students attending Texas A&M University.
Aggie Park is home to regular Monday Luncheons, Silver Taps & Muster.

12th Man Foundation
Gina has been an active member of the Texas A&M 12th Man Foundation since 2008, which included gifts to the Redevelopment of Kyle Field and the Texas A&M Softball Program.
Gina has been a season ticket holder since 2008 and is an avid sports fan, often attending any sporting event where the Aggies are participating.
